Grow A Dragon - Review
My day job starts at 6am, and as a result I often find myself at a local petrol station for what, very loosely, could be called "breakfast".
Breakfast, if you could call it that, usually consists of Teryaki flavoured Beef Jerky, Coke No sugar and a Bounty bar, although I have stopped including the Bounty bar to reduce my sugar intake.
One particular morning, something caught my eye. It was the Grow A Dragon package seen at the top of this page.
I thought it would be a cool little experiment to try out and maybe write about.
If nothing else, I could always make lewd and suggestive references with it.
The idea of it growing 6x it's size was rather interesting to me, not in the suggestive sense, so I had to test it out for myself.
Growing The Dragon
The back of the packaging said to immerse the dragon in water for 72 hours.
So, I took a few before pictures for comparison and then filled up the sink.
Hydrating The Dragon
The sink was filled above the height of the dragon.
24 hours later the dragon had grown to the point where I had to fill up the sink again to cover the dragon again.
48 hours later the dragon had moved and the sink needed a top up.
Finally, after 72 hours, the dragon is at it's maximum size.
The End Result
The verdict:
It certainly works, and it provided a nice distraction.
It's a bit of bathtime fun for kids and they are only AU$6 each too.
Great for timelapse photography if you can keep them stable in water.
A few days later, the dragon has dehydrated and reduced back to it's original size and is sitting on the sink in my bathroom, guarding it from all those who wish to defile it.
Beware, evil toilet goer!
My bathroom is protected...
