Today I woke up needing to have my hair cut once again. So I headed to my favorite barber shop for the service.
While lounging around after the cut, with nothing to do but wanting to do something, anything, I did two of my favorite activities ever: online chess and browsing for action figures for sale.
First I had my sights on Darth Nihilus from Hasbro, which has been an interest of mine for quite some time now. Read his history and powers and liked it, so I considered buying him.
But then, this guy got in the way. And of course, the Green Lantern Corps is ever my favorite.
One more perk: I can relate to this alien Green Lantern because he is left-handed, as evidenced by the location of his ring. I am also a sucker for pointy and webbed ears.
After this new impulse purchase, was I satisfied? Nooooo! I still had to go somewhere and do whatever. And I was thinking of attending the toy event of some friends at a faraway city. But after a bit more browsing, I found that there is a toy event at a nearby mall!!! So I decided to head there instead, as it is cheaper on gas.
This is the event:
And there are action figures, not just statues! I don't collect statues.
Of course, I wasn't looking to buy anything, but then this guy showed me the error of my assumptions:
And as my closest friends know, I am a real sucker for cyborgs and beings with more than four limbs! So Axel Rose, er, Soma gets to go home with me!
And now I am thousands poorer, but eternally happier.
After browsing at the department store's toy offerings, I found some interesting future buys:
Happy to be alive and enjoy simple stuff!
