A guy I buy Star Wars figures off listed a handful of figures recently, ranging from Vintage to Modern (vintage collection)
Even though I already own most of these complete, I saw a couple that I needed. Since they were listed as a bundle I didn't want him to have to split them (I'm not sure if he would have)
So, I just bought the lot. Judging by the condition of them, some were in better shape than the ones I own, so I figured I would replace some from my own collection and sell the ones I didn't want to keep.
I have this guy complete with his staff, but the one I have has loose legs, so bought the bundle on a whim that this one is in better condition, which he is.
He's an interesting looking character. The vintage figures are great, but I found that by the Return of The Jedi release, the figures got more detailed and interesting with a wide variety of aliens.
I have both varients of Lando, and they are both complete, apart from one of the figures is missing his cloak.
So I bought this figure for his cloak alone, which I have not been able to find for a decent price. Funnily enough, the cloak and figure were cheaper than I have seen the cloak selling for on its own before.
I rarely buy from unknown sellers, and I prefer to just stick with trust worthy people so I can be safe knowning that the weapons and accessories are genuine.
With the people I buy from, if there is the slightest doubt, they price based on it being reproduction and let the buyer take the risk.
I love the fully posable modern figures and think for dioramas they are great. However, I am not going out of my way to buy these ones unless I see them for a decent price, which these were.
They don't have their weapons, but do have their helmets, which was the deciding factor.
I want a snowspeeder from the same line as this AT-AT, and have been gathering figures to set up a diorama of a battle scene.
The AT-AT is so impressive, and I think having figures surrounding it helps to show its scale.
The snowtroopers and rebel I have with the turret aren't posable, but at some stage I will replace them all with posable ones. For now, I'm just accumulating whenever I find some Hoth figures for sale.
