Today I share with you a street snack in Guangdong, China: White Sugar Sesame Balls.
The white sugar sesame ball is a famous snack in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, with the meaning of full house.
The white sugar sesame ball is fried with glutinous rice flour and white sugar water, The surface of the white sugar sesame ball is crispy, soft and fragrant, affordable and nutritious, It is the ideal snack for most people.
Ingredients：
1: glutinous rice flour (300 g); 2: white sugar (55 g); 3: white sesame (some); 4: hot water (30 ml); 5: clear water (10 ml); 6: vegetable oil (650 ml).
Step:
1: Pour the white sugar into the hot water and mix well, then pour it into the glutinous rice flour and mix well;
2: Knead the glutinous rice flour into dough, seal it with plastic wrap and let stand for 30 minutes;
3: Take out a small piece of dough and knead it into a round shape, then soak it in clean water and then wrap a layer of white sesame;
4: Put the vegetable oil in the pot and heat it to 40%, then add the sesame ball to fried;
5: After the sesame ball floats, press repeatedly with the tool to make the sesame ball hollow (please refer to the video);
6: When the color of the sesame ball turns golden brown, remove the drained oil and finish.
Precautions:
1: The temperature of hot water is between 70°-80°;
2: The sesame ball after frying will swell, so the dough should not be too big;
3: Use medium heat when frying a sesame ball;
4: Constantly turning and pressing the sesame ball helps to vent the gas and shrink the surface, so that the operation will make the sesame ball hollow;
