Good morning to all you Hivelanders.

I'm feeling slightly worse for wear this morning after, shall we say, one libation too many at sundown. I am going to place the blame squarely at the feet of biggypauls@biggypauls as I had every intention of heading homeward before sundown and an early night. Coffee for me is a morning ritual usually but this morning it's medicine, rejuvenation, reanimation, rocketfuel....more rocketfuel...must have, give.

My preference is always black coffee. You can really taste a coffees individuality if taken black, no sugar. Many years ago in the early 90's a friend of mine and myself found ourselves hitch-hiking through Eritrea, Ethiopia and kenya. It was an epic adventure. It's where I first realised that coffee taken black and pure was the way to go. I still remember the first time I sat in a little house in Ethiopia as the lady went through her "coffee ceremony" where she carefully and methodically took the freshly roasted beans, ground them and made possibly the nicest and most delicious coffee I have ever had in my life. I remember taking the cup and thinking to myself "well theres no milk and sugar but don't be rude, just drink it" . The look of surprise on my face when I tasted it even made her break out in a big smile as it was simply amazing and she could see I was shocked.

So from that day to this my preference is black. Black pure and unadulterated rocket fuel.

The stuff is truly amazing. Only 20 minutes ago I felt rough as a badgers arse and now 2 cups and 250 words later I feel pretty damned good. Quite a transformation. A 3rd I say, a 3rd, lets be having you
