Hail to the Hive!

Recently @diveratt brought over an early Christmas gift of a Bodum Pebo vacuum filter coffee machine. The whole set up looks like something out of the TV series ‘Breaking Bad’ but instead of making crystal meth we are brewing that lovely liquid we all know and worship, coffee!

So I thought I’d walk you through the basics of this little coffee chemistry session as it was all rather a lot of fun and made the coffee experience a little different. Different, in my book, is good! Well sometimes 😉.

And as we live on a little narrowboat called Badger rather than Breaking Bad I decided to call this one Breaking Badger just in case any of you reading this have not watched the show or didn’t realise our boat was called Badger or perhaps both!

So what did I make of the results from this rather interesting style of coffee maker?

Well I have to admit that it does make an excellent cup of coffee and it deceptively makes plenty of it too in one go. The whole process produces a very clean tasting cup of coffee so you get the full benefit of whatever type of coffee you are using. All that and it is rather stylish as well.

So what do I think?
