Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome back to another fresh and awesome Splinterlands post, and I hope you are all doing pretty well and enjoying another amazing day with your family and friends. Now, for those of you who are actively engaging in this Web3 strategy game, I hope you are actively playing in this ongoing ranked and frontier season as well. Now, if we take a quick look at the season timer, the current ranked season still has around 7 days and 7 hours remaining, so there is still plenty of time for us all to continue our battles and push toward our own season goals. I believe all of you have already locked in a goal and whether it is to steadily move upwards and reach a certain league tier or secure a glorious seat in the top Champion leaderboard, there is still enough time to keep pushing. With almost a week still left in the season, we can continue experimenting with different cards and lineups and try to push our trophy count a little higher if everything goes well.

Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode, as usual, I am currently battling in the highest Gold I league, and my current trophy count is 3,540. My target for this season is somewhere between 4,000 and 4,200 trophies, so I still have some battles to play before reaching my goal. Hopefully, I can continue climbing steadily during the remaining days of the season and get as close as possible to that target. Looking at the weekly raffle progress, I currently have 15 raffle entries collected. There are around 5 days and 6 hours remaining before the raffle ends, and this time I am aiming for somewhere between 51 and 54 entries. Let's now see how it goes this time.

Today's Frontier Daily Wheel also brought me a small surprise. Today marks my 128th consecutive streak day, and I received a card skin from the wheel, as you can see from the screenshot above, but unfortunately, I already had that particular skin. So instead of receiving the duplicate skin, I got 100 + 25 Sparks. This brings my total Sparks balance to 18,367. Hopefully, I will keep the streak alive indefinitely and continue collecting these Frontier rewards.

Apart from that, today I also opened 6 Foundation Packs that I earned from the last two days' rewards. This time, I managed to get 1 Gold Foil Rare and another 5 Rare cards, including 3 Archons, while the remaining cards were Common cards. The Gold Foil Rare was definitely a nice addition, and getting three Archons among the Rare cards was another highlight of today's pack opening. So overall, it was another cool opening, and hopefully the next few packs will bring some more exciting cards.

Careless Badger

Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today we will be discussing Careless Badger. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this small but deadly Ranged monster, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.

Careless Badger is a monster type card that comes from the Death element and belongs to the Mundane Beast bloodline. It is a Rare type card, so you would require a total of 115 CC cards to upgrade it to max level. It costs only 3 mana to deploy and uses Ranged attacks, so you can easily fit this card into your lineup when playing low to medium mana limit matches, including the ones with the Little Leagues ruleset. At maximum level, this monster possesses two different abilities, giving it a combination of targeted killing and health growth over time. Let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.

BRONZE

At Level 2, Careless Badger possesses 2 Ranged attack, 1 Speed, and 1 Health. Even at this level, it already comes with a useful ability called OPPORTUNITY.

OPPORTUNITY – Targets the enemy unit with the least Health.

SILVER

At Level 4, Careless Badger improves to 3 Ranged attack and 2 Speed while maintaining 1 Health. Although it does not gain a new ability at this stage, the increase in both attack and Speed makes it considerably more threatening.

GOLD

At Level 6, Careless Badger reaches 4 Ranged attack and 2 Speed while its Health increases to 2. Although there is no new ability at this level, the increase in attack power gives it a significant improvement in offensive strength for such a low mana monster.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

At Level 8, Careless Badger reaches its maximum form with 4 Ranged attack, 2 Speed, and 3 Health. At maximum level, it unlocks its final ability called SCAVENGER.

SCAVENGER – Gains +1 Health and maximum Health each time any unit is defeated.

I think Careless Badger is a very cool and useful little monster, especially when you consider that it costs only 3 mana. First of all, getting a Ranged monster with up to 4 Ranged attack for just 3 mana is already a pretty impressive deal. Its basic defensive statistics are not particularly high, but that is understandable when you consider the extremely low mana cost. In battles where the mana limit is restricted, having a card that can contribute this much offensive power without taking up much of your mana budget can be extremely useful.

The Opportunity ability is the first thing that really makes Careless Badger stand out. Instead of simply attacking the monster in the first position, it targets the enemy unit with the least Health. This means that Careless Badger can focus on weakened monsters and potentially secure easy eliminations. This can be especially useful when combined with other attackers that generally target the same weak or backline enemy units.

Then we have Scavenger, which is the ability Careless Badger unlocks at maximum level. Every time any unit is defeated, Careless Badger gains +1 Health and maximum Health. This ability can become extremely interesting in longer battles where monsters are constantly being eliminated. At the beginning of the battle, Careless Badger may have very little Health and can therefore be vulnerable to attacks. But if you can protect it and allow other monsters to fight in front of it, every death on the battlefield can gradually make Careless Badger stronger.

Overall, I think Careless Badger is a small but surprisingly dangerous Ranged monster. For only 3 mana, it provides strong offensive power, targets the weakest enemy through Opportunity, and can gradually increase its Health through Scavenger as units are defeated. It may look fragile at first, but if you can protect it long enough, it can become increasingly difficult to remove while continuing to pick off weak enemy monsters. So, if you are looking for a cheap Ranged attacker that can contribute meaningful damage without consuming much of your mana budget, Careless Badger is definitely a card worth experimenting with.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about CARELESS BADGER. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
