Hello, there!
@saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
The second season for Modern Brackets has finally concluded, and if I should say, I got a far better experience this time than the first season. Part of that was because I stepped down from Champion Bracket to Diamond Bracket, which allows me to use many of my cards that become inaccessible due to the high card caps that were implemented in the Champion Bracket. There are still a lot of cards that I cannot use right now, particularly in my reward cards, but my deck has now become more flexible compared to when I am playing in the Champion Bracket, meaning I can play more lineup variety in battles.
At the same time, I was Division I in the Diamond Bracket, even when I started at zero rating, while I was stuck in Division III in the Champion Bracket, so even with the season reset, I would start at Division III, where I will start with good reward points and Glint rewards.
Furthermore, I was able to step up my leaderboard rankings and get the same amount of Glint rewards that I usually got during the previous system.
That said, there were still some things that I do not feel great at all regarding the new system.
Modern Format Season 106 Splinterlands Report
| League | Total Battles | Wins | Win Rate | Rank | Reward Points % | Leaderboard Reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Modern Diamond Bracket | 515 | 350 | 67.96% | 11- Division I | 1.41% |
For modern ranked season 106 with the new Brackets system, I was still able to be in the top 11 of the Diamond Bracket. While the leaderboard Glint reward in the Diamond Bracket was less compared to the Champion Bracket, placing a higher rating has allowed me to earn the same leaderboard Glint reward that I can get during the previous system. Overall, I played a total of 515 battles and won 350 of them, with a win rate of 67.96%. But even all of that only gives me a 1.41% Reward Points %. This is because the more all the players in the Bracket play, the more the max reward points get diluted. Because of that, a player will need to stake a lot of SPS and play a lot of battles, just for him to get decent rewards.
However, when I tried to compute the supposed SPS that I will get based on the reward points % and what was rewarded to me, the amount seems to be far lower.
I was only able to receive 3,811.561 SPS at the end of the season, but when I tried to see what 1.41% of the Diamond Bracket liquidity pool is, it shows that I should be earning another 513.67 SPS. I do not know if this was a bug too, but apparently, the team was not able to properly implement the change to give up to a 4% cap of the reward pool, and the SPS awarded to the players seems to have the same cap of 2%, similar to last season.
| Staking Rewards | |
|---|---|
| Ranked Rewards | |
| Brawl Rewards | |
| Tournament Prize | |
| Total |
So once again, I am back within my usual earning rate, earning a total of 4,276.731 SPS or about $ 17 last season. It has doubled what I earned last season in Champion Bracket, even after starting back from zero rating.
| MERITS Brawl prizes | |
|---|---|
| MERITS Draw Reward | |
| VOUCHER |
Since I missed a lot of brawls, that also means that I earned fewer Merits. Last season, I only earned 4,800 Merits from brawls, but because I opened a ton of Chests, I was able to gain another 27,938Merits for a total of 32,416 Merits. Still, that's plenty, and I would have to check if I can open a hundred Gladius packs after this.
And there was the other result with the SPS and Voucher rewards through SPS staking. Because it now takes an entire season before players get their SPS rewards, that also means that for an entire season, those SPS remain unstaked, so they do not get the SPS and Voucher rewards than we use to get.
| Glint Ranked | |
|---|---|
| Glint Season | |
| Suvival | |
| Reward | |
| Total Glint Earned |
When it comes to Glint, is where I get I earned the most. The total Glint that I earned last season was 1,769,070 Glint by just playing modern ranked and the reward I got from the leaderboard. It has more than doubled what I earned last season, but it can also be due to the increased Glint rewards that the team has given, while they were still figuring out how to price Energy purchases in the Glint Shop.
| SPS Rental | |

| Card Rental | |
| Tournament Fees | |
| Fortune Pass | |
| Total Cost |
| Glint Purchase |
As for my DEC expenses, my total expenses last season were 28,607.761 DEC or about $ 13.86 at the current price, which leaves me with $ 3.14 of earnings. Playing the Diamond bracket puts me back into positive earnings.
CA Reward and Extra Set Progress
Using the site splinterhub.com, I was able to monitor the progress of my reward cards. Since I have already fully maxed my common collection, I just have to complete the rest, and my rare collection is really close at 96%. However, my Epic and Legendary collections still have a lot of catching up to do.
At the very least, all my epic collection is at level 4, so I can all use then in Diamond Bracket, but my Legendary collection has still quite a few level 1 and remains to be unusable for me.
Closing
So with that, the second season of Modern Brackets has concluded. Now, with a better starting point, I hope that my overall earnings will increase compared to last season.
Thank you, and see you on the next post!
