The sun is bright, the air is crisp, the orchards smell so sweet.
It's that time of year,
it's finally here,
the apples are ready to eat!
We'll make apple pie, apple cake, apple crisp, apple jam, and maybe we'll stop at that.
For if we eat all we make-
every last crumb of cake,
we will surely build up winter fat.
