Kids are gifts from God. A baby can change your world and keep you busy for the entire day. So, yes, a baby changes our life immensely, but does it change our equation with our spouse? Well, I have many friends who say that after babies their relationship with their husbands have changed. Earlier they used to spend time together, ho on dates and expeditions etc. Now the charm seems to have lost. But, I have a different story to tell.

I was 19 when I married my husband. My husband is 9 years older than me. Though I was quite young to have babies, he was not. I was halfway through my graduation and we had decided that we would wait till I get the graduation degree to expand our family. But, we were staying with my not-so- lovely mother in law who didn't let us bond in the initial years of marriage. She was always there to escalate the fights between us and I cannot forget the mental misses that she launched at me saying how I was selfish for not letting her son have the joy of being a father.
I started pestering my husband to build a family and there we were. My son changed my life. I no longer had time to sit in the same room with my mother in law And she would stay away from me fearing that I would pile up some of the baby related works on her. Disagreements with my husband also reduced.
So the conclusion is that life and relationships change after we welcome a child into the family, but it is all for good.
