There is no human that does not have something within them that can come as a value. As a matter of fact, there is a deposit of value right within every human and it is what makes each person uniquely different. Let no one tell you otherwise, you have what will make an impact, not just in the world around you but in the world at large. However, the question now bothers on how to unleash the value inherent in your inside, so as to bring profit to you and to humanity.

A very important way to realise your true value is to understand that you have a value in the first place. Without the knowledge of who you are and what you have, you may not be able to function in full capacity. For someone to achieve something, the person must know that it can be achieved. It is by understanding your innate abilities that you will know what you can do. If you do not know that something exists, how will you be able to put that thing to use? There are abilities that lie within you that you may not be aware of but with proper understanding of who you are, it will be easy to realise.
After you have understood that you have values, then the next point is your journey towards self-discovery. There are pointers to help you with this and we will take a look at them. Firstly; there is something you naturally have passion to do even if you are not rewarded for it and when you are not forced to do so. This could actually point you to the right direction towards the unleashing of your hidden potential and the discovery of your value and purpose. There is something within you that normally drives you to do what you are passionate about. So your passion can help you understand and unveil the value within you.
I once listened to an online interview of a very respected and world's renowned footballer who has won dozens of titles and has arisen to the top row of his career. When he was asked about how he chose to play football professionally, he responded "passion". He even went further to reveal that he has never played for the money, even though the money came, but he plays for passion. After the interview, I understood why he had achieved so much in the world of sports. His routine training session is nothing short of passion. If not, how will you explain someone going for hours each day in training for just a particular kick? Passion brings out the value in you.
Now that we have established the fact that you need passion to be able to unleash the value within you, what else do you need? You also need to be able to welcome other people's honest and sincere opinions. Someone may see something within you that you may not, and when you welcome their view, it may point you to the right direction.

While growing up, I had this family friend who was more like a brother to me than a friend, so he used to stay most of the times in our house. We noticed something about him - each time you have a discussion with him, even his first statement will send you laughing out loud. Then throughout the conversation, you would be laughing your ribs out.
Almost everyone knew his abilities and he was fun to be with because you would forget your worries and laugh - and that explained why we always wanted him around. A point came when we called him and told him that he had a hidden potential and would do well in the comedy field because of how he does it effortlessly. He welcomed the opinion and started working on it. During his university days, he did M.C work and even hosted a couple of shows. At this moment, he has become well-known in the comedy world and among the winners of the recent Open Mic Night Award. You see, people's honest opinions matter to the discovery of yourself.
The next step is to gain more knowledge about what you like and what you are passionate about. Passion on itself cannot deliver on its own, you need to empower it with knowledge. No matter how passionate you are about something, no matter the opinion of others about you, if you lack relevant knowledge, you will be limited. The truth is that knowledge gives you a level of edge because it increases your self-worth. Of course, when your worth increases, your value will increase. So always try to update on your knowledge, improve and up-skill yourself so as to make yourself more valuable.
