From our last episode, we have established the truth that life does not just happen but it becomes a resultant effect of the actions and inactions of people. There are skills that one needs to possess, as we saw from the start of this series, which can help one to live a better and more fulfilled life. Here, we shall wrap it up with the final skills to possess. Remember that it is what you do with what you have that will determine what happens to you. Simply put, what you take out of life will be primarily determined by what you have put into life.

The first skill that we will consider in this final episode is the ability to walk away. If being with someone or in a group of people will bring negative impact to your life or is affecting you adversely, then you need to walk away without feeling guilty. After all, you are trying to protect your mental health and your sanity which matters. You do not have to keep enduring a friendship, relationship, company, etc, that deals negatively with you, just walk away. If you are not benefiting from a relationship or a friendship, then you do not have a reason to still be in it. Remember that your benefits also matters as much as the other person. You do not have to put yourself on the line of negativity just because you want to be with someone.
You need to understand that no matter what you do and how hard you have tried, you cannot please every single person. The more you try to please as much people as is not required, the more you displease yourself and run into troubles. Anything that tampers with your joy or makes you unhappy should be avoided. You have to know that in life, what you allow is what will ultimately remain. If you allow "anyhowness" from people simply because of the relationship you had with them in the past, then you are doing yourself a very big disfavour.
The next skill to take a look at is your ability to welcome change. Change is part of life itself and it is inevitable. You cannot stop the world from evolving neither can you stop change, so what you can do is to welcome the change. Trust me, if changes do not happen, the world would become very boring. The reason why people go through life is because of the hopes of positive changes. So changes should be taken as necessary requirements for life, and as so, it should be welcomed. Instead of trying to fight changes from happening, you need to learn to welcome them and then either respond or react to them.

In addition to welcoming changes, you can also create your own desired changes through your actions. If you do not like how things have been happening or you are not comfortable with the changes you are seeing around you, then you need to undertake your own actions that will create your own change. As much as change is common, it is also majorly triggered by people's actions. That is; things do not just happen on their own, there are things that prompt them to happen. Do not just wait and watch things go as you do not like, you have to initiate your own actions and create the kind of effects you want to see.
The last skill that is worthy to be possessed is the ability to ask for help and seek for assistance. You need to know that no matter how independent you are and no matter how mature you may have become, there is still a place for the input of others in your life. Do not allow yourself to be at a point of helplessness when you can ask for help. Ask when it is important, such as to take more responsibility for your life, not to be a liability to people.
You will be surprised that the little help you get from someone can give you a major boost in your life to ascend to the next phase of your life. Asking for help does not mean that you are irresponsible, neither does it signify weakness, but as long as what you are asking for is right, then it is good. So you need to master the art of asking for help so that you will not live a life of helplessness.
