It is one thing to know how something is done but it is another thing to be readily available when the need for it arises. You may be very capable of doing something but without being available to add value, then of what purpose is your ability? While you are waiting for the relevant help, there is the need for the regular help. This is because, the best help anyone can get is the timely one.

You may be engraced with brilliant abilities but if you make yourself inaccessible for those that need you, you will be surprised how replaceable you will become. A point will come when you realize that relevance is not necessary created by being able to do something but by being present to do it. This is why bearing huge titles does not get the job done but by putting it to use.
For everything that should be done (whether by you or someone else), there should be an allocated time for it and anything outside that time may make it futile. If I may ask; will you prefer to hope (in futility) for an expert to have a job done which will not be delivered at the appointed time or will you rather take your chances with someone with a vague idea but who will be timely to deliver? More often than not, the later will be preferred.
The beauty of your capability is being available to deliver, cos delay may not only complicate the matter but can also render the help undesired. It is good to acquire knowledge and improve yourself to better humanity, but it is also good to have the ethics and etiquettes of appropriate time management and time usage.
It is worthy to note that delayed actions and inaction bear almost the same consequences. Now look at it this way; why was only Neil Armstrong's name mentioned as the first person to land on moon but the same Apollo II crew had 3 members and not just Neil? The answer is simple; he was the first to dismount from the space ship and touched the ground of moon.
Many ideas have been sunk, not because they were not viable enough to sell but because they delayed actions and someone else with similar idea took the advantage of "early bird". This is just to tell you that availability is very crucial and not just capability.
