Hola amigos de Hive despu茅s de casi 5 a帽os en Chile primera vez que preparo algo t铆pico de este pa铆s. Aunque debo confesar que no me gustan mucho pero para los d铆as de lluvia se acostumbra a comer sopaipillas pasadas.

Hello friends of Hive, after almost 5 years in Chile, the first time that I prepare something typical of this country. Although I must confess that I do not like them very much, but on rainy days it is customary to eat old sopaipillas.

Los ingredientes son :

Zapallo.
Harina.
Una pizcs de sal.
Mantequilla.
Chancaca.

The ingredients are :

Pumpkin.
Flour.
A pinch of salt.
Butter.
Chancaca.

Preparacion :

Cortamos el zapallo (auyama en Venezuela) y ponemos a cocinar. Una vez que este listo lo aplastamos.

Mezclamos 3 tazas de harina, el zapallo, una pizca de sal y la mantequilla derretida hasta formar una mezcla homog茅nea.

Preparation :

We cut the squash (auyama in Venezuela) and put it to cook. Once it is ready we crush it.

Mix 3 cups of flour, the pumpkin, a pinch of salt and the melted butter until a homogeneous mixture is formed.

Estiramos la masa y cortamos c铆rculos de el tama帽o que quieras y pinchamos con el tenedor.

En una olla ponemos a derretir la Chancaca ( papel贸n en Venezuela) con unas c谩scaras de naranja y unos palitos de canela.

Freimos las sopaipillas en aceite.

Una vez que este lista la Chancaca agregamos las sopaipillas y servimos.

Stretch the dough and cut circles of the size you want and prick with a fork.

In a pot we melt the Chancaca (paper in Venezuela) with some orange peels and some cinnamon sticks.

Fry the sopaipillas in oil. Once the Chancaca is ready, add the sopaipillas and serve.
