When music embraces the soul | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

Hello, black-and-white photography lovers of Hive!

Sometimes we encounter unique moments—surprising for the privilege embodied in their singularity—and we must remain attentive so as not to let them slip away.

This took place when we were invited to the launch of a cultural magazine, and the venue offered us something unexpected: Maestro Raúl Zaballa, with his wind instrument and his virtuosity, to the delight of all the attendees.

They were magical minutes. He transported us to centuries of enchantment, gifting us unique pieces that—thanks to sensibilities like his—remain alive today; these are among the earliest melodies brought to the concert stage, and though their composers remain unknown, they continue to stir the emotions.

That very emotion is reflected on the maestro's face as he plays each musical note—and is conveyed to us.

It was precisely with that emotion that I sought to capture every moment in these frames, deliberately crafted with contrasts and a fluid interplay of light and shadow across every gesture—and every tempo latent in each melody that, for me at least, stirred a sigh.

And so, smiling and grateful for the opportunity, I bid you farewell for now—until the next black-and-white frame—but not without first sending each of you a hug of light!

En ocasiones uno se encuentra con momentos únicos, sorprendentes por el privilegio que encarnan en lo singular, y es preciso estar atentos para no dejarlos escapar.

Esto sucedió cuando fuimos invitados a la presentación de una revista cultural y el espacio nos ofreció lo inesperado, el Maestro Raúl Zaballa con su instrumento de viento y su maestría, para beneplácito de todos los asistentes.

Fueron minutos mágicos. Nos llevó a siglos de ensueño, regalándonos temas únicos que, por sensibilidades como las suyas, aún permanecen latentes a pesar de ser melodías que constituyen de las primeras llevadas a conciertos cuya autoría aún permanecen anónimas, pero continúan emocionando.

Justo esa emoción se transmite en el rostro del maestro cuando toca cada nota musical, y nos la transmite.

Precisamente con esa emoción pretendí capturar cada instante en estos fotogramas hechos a propósito con estos contrastes y fluidez entre el claro y el oscuro de cada gesto, cada tempo latente en cada melodía que, al menos a mí, me hizo suspirar.

Así, sonriendo agradecido por la oportunidad, me voy despidiendo por ahora hasta un próximo fotograma en blanco y negro, no sin antes regalarles a cada uno de ustedes ¡un abrazo de luz!
