Have you noticed that as our children get older the presents under the tree get smaller?

I remember that under the tree of my son Matias' first Christmas, there was an incredible amount of toys, with huge boxes, but as the years went by the size has been reducing, and not because they receive less things, they are simply growing, and those huge boxes, with control cars, dolls and strollers, has been changing radically.

Now their tastes and interests are different, and the gifts go largely from digital to practical things or things they need, although Miranda still asks for Play Doh putty, because she loves to create, but she no longer asks for dolls, or tea sets, now she wants brushes, watercolors, cell phones and stop counting.

In the case of Matias last year technology was the main thing, so he got a portable horn and wireless headphones, this year he didn't need any of that, so he asked for clothes, a watch and of course, perfume... a real teenager my boy.

Today I am lining his presents, and in them I notice how much time has passed, but even though my children, are less and less children, they look forward to what they will find under the Christmas tree and tomorrow, when they wake up they will find their presents.

I hope that everyone at home tomorrow will be able to be with the ones they love, and that God blesses their homes and their health.

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas.
