In that room, they had some modular furniture sets that included a single bed, a large unit with shelves and a closed compartment, and a small closet with drawers at the bottom. Each of them had one, but a while back, Matías got a double bed because he’s grown quite a bit and was uncomfortable, and since there were several in the house, they gave him one.
Well, now that Miranda has moved to the other room—where she has a complete bedroom set—we had to clear out her things so we could set up that room. The first thing we had to do was take the bed apart, and Matías helped me with that. He also helped move the shelving unit, which we put in the dining room because my wife wants to make some changes there, too.

En ese cuarto ellos tenían unos muebles de los modulares que traen una cama individual, un mueble grande con estantes y un compartimiento cerrado y un closet pequeño con gavetas abajo. Cada uno tenía uno, pero hace tiempo a Matías se le metió una cama matrimonial porque ya ha crecido bastante y estaba incómodo y como en la casa habían varias se le metió una a él.
Bueno, ahora que Miranda se fue al otro cuarto y ella allá tiene un juego de cuarto completo había que sacar sus cosas para poder arreglar ese cuarto y lo primero que tuvimos que hacer fue desarmar la cama y en eso me ayudó Matías, y también a sacar el mueble de repisas que lo pusimos en el comedor que mi esposa quiere hacer unos cambios ahí también.
What we did keep from Miranda’s bedroom set was the closet, so Matías could use it too—since they’re little and he already needs more space for his things—so we moved it and placed it right next to the other one. We also moved the bed and the large shelving unit, placing them where Miranda’s closet used to be.
They have a desk in that room, but my wife wants to get rid of it and use one of the bed frames as a desk next to the shelving unit, so I put the board there for now so we can set it up properly later. But we haven’t gotten rid of the old desk yet because school has already started and he still needs it.

Lo que si dejamos del juego de cuarto de Miranda fue el closet para que Matías lo usé también porque son pequeños y ya necesita más espacio para sus cosas entonces lo movimos y lo pegamos del otro. La cama también la cambiamos de sitio y el mueble grande de repisas también y se puso donde Miranda tenía su closet.
En ese cuarto ellos tienen un escritorio pero mi esposa quiere sacarlo y con una de las partes del mueble de una de las camas usarlo como escritorio pegado del mueble con las repisas, entonces puse la tabla ahí al lado para después acomodarlo como va. Pero todavía no hemos sacado el escritorio viejo porque ya comenzó las clases y lo necesita.
That room needs to be painted, and we wanted to use white and gray, but my son doesn’t want us to cover up the Mario drawings that have been there for years—my wife painted them—so she started asking the AI for ideas on how to keep that mural but make the room look less like a kid’s room, and it gave her several good ideas.
Right now, the furniture is already in place, and I removed some trim that was dividing the wall in half. We still need to change the color of the closet doors and paint, but we’ll do that little by little. Right now, the walls look really bad because when I removed the trim, part of the wainscoting fell off, but I’m going to fix that in the next few days since I have the materials.

Ese cuarto hay que pintarlo y queríamos usar también blanco y gris, pero mi hijo no quiere que le quiten los dibujos de Mario que tienen años ahí que se los pintó mi esposa, entonces ella se puso a pedirle ideas a la IA para dejar ese mural pero que no se vea como un cuarto de niño y le dio varias ideas buenas.
Ahorita ya se pusieron los muebles y yo quité unas guardas que tenia la pared que la dividía a la mitad y hay que cambiar el color de las puertas de los closets y pintar, pero eso sera poco a poco, ahorita se ven las paredes muy mal porque cuando quité las guardas se cayó parte del friso, pero eso lo voy a arreglar en estos días porque tengo material.
I hope we don't take too long to finish up what's left, but at least everyone has their own room now, and we're slowly but surely getting Matías's room to look like Miranda's.
