We bought the paint a few days ago to paint my son’s room, and my wife has already been putting up the wallpaper she wanted on the closets, so it was my turn to start painting to finish that room.

.Aquí ya hace unos días se compraron las pinturas. para pintar el cuarto de mi hijo y mi esposa ya estuvo pegando el papel que le quería poner a los closets, así que me tocaba ponerme a pintar para dejar terminado ese cuarto.
I don't remember if I'd told you that there was a wooden trim running along all the walls in that room to create a partition, and my wife asked me to remove it, so I took it down a while ago. But where the nails had been, part of the trim came off when I peeled it away, and in order to paint, I had to fix that. So, the first thing I did to get ready to paint was to fill in the holes.
To cover all the areas where the trim was missing, I made a mixture of glue and cement, and using a putty knife, I filled in all the holes and smoothed them out. After that dried, I took some coarse-grit sandpaper and ran it over the area where the wooden slats had been attached, because all the times it had been painted, paint had built up and created an uneven surface. With those two steps done, the wall was ready to be painted.

No recuerdo si yo les había dicho que, en ese cuarto había un listón de madera al rededor de todas las paredes para hacer una división y mi esposa me pidió que las quitara, así que hace tiempo las quite, pero donde estaban los clavos. se vino parte del friso al despegarlas, y para poder pintar. tenía que arreglar eso. así que.te lo primero que hice para poder comenzar a pintar fue rellenar los huecos.
Para tapar todas las partes que quedaron sin friso hice una mezcla de pego y cemento, y con una espátula fui llenando todos los huecos y dejándolos lisos. Después que eso se secó, agarré una lija de grano grueso, la pase por esa parte donde teníamos pegados los listones de madera, porque de todas las veces que se había pintado se había acumulado pintura y formó una irregularidad, y ya con esos dos trabajos la pared quedó lista para pintarla.
Until recently, my wife said she was going to leave one wall with Super Mario Bros. drawings and paint the rest gray, but then she said she’d paint it gray and white like we did in Miranda’s room, and the day before yesterday she told me she’d rather have three gray walls and, on the wall where the bed will go, she was going to do some things she saw on Pinterest, but then she said she wanted to do something she saw that looked like microcement, so all I did was start with a coat of white paint to cover up the characters a bit, and I’m going to leave it like that until she makes up her mind.
Yesterday I got a head start on those things, and this afternoon I started applying the gray to the other walls—and by the way, I realized the paint is worth it because a single coat covered the green and the little figures my wife had painted. This paint is from the Coloreal brand, Type A, in a line called Kilate, and it worked well for us in Miranda’s room. I thought this room would need two coats, but one covered it well, so we’ll use less paint.

Mi esposa hasta hace poco dijo que iba a dejar una pared con los dibujos de súper Mario Bros, y el resto gris, pero después dijo que pintaría gris y blanco como se hizo en el cuarto de Miranda, y antier me dijo que mejor tres paredes de gris y en la pared donde va a ir la cama ella iba hacer unas cosas que vio en pinterest, pero después dijo que quería hacer algo que vio que quedaba como microcemento, así que yo lo único que hice fue comenzar con una mano de pintura blanca para tapar un poco los muñecos, y se la voy a dejar así hasta que ella se termine de decididir.
Ayer lo que hice fue que adelanté esas cosas y hoy en la tarde me puse a echar el gris en las otras paredes y por cierto, me di cuenta que la pintura vale la pena porque con una sola mano tapó el verde y los muñecos que pintó mi esposa. Esta pintura es de la marca Coloreal, tipo A de una presentación que se llama Kilate y con esa nos fue bien en el cuarto de Miranda, pero yo creía que para este cuarto se iba necesitar dos manos, pero con una cubrió bien, así que se va a gastar menos pintura.
Today I only got part of the gray walls done, and I had to sand a little more where the trim was because it was still visible, and I couldn't finish because I had to go to my parents' house to help them, but tomorrow I hope to finish the entire lower section so I can then climb the ladder and get started on the upper parts, and let my wife do whatever she has in mind for the white wall—though I’m sure she’ll change her mind again 🤣🤣🤣

Hoy adelanté solo una parte de las paredes grises y tuve que lijar un poco más en donde estaba el listón porque se veía todavía, y no pde terminar porque tuve que ir a la casa de mis padres a ayudarlos, pero mañana espero poder terminar todo lo que es la parte de abajo para después ya subir la escalera y ponerme con las partes de arriba y dejar que mi esposa haga lo que va a hacer con la pared blanco, que yo estoy seguro que va a cambiar de opinión otra vez 🤣🤣🤣
Bueno amigos, nos vemos otro día para enseñarles cómo quedó el cuarto, que no sé cuando será eso porque mi esposa está enferma con gripe y no se puede poner a pintar, así que cuando esté listo les vengo a contar. Saludos
