My relationship with sushi was love at first sight, and I think a good part of that love comes from my first experience with it, specifically thanks to "Bonsai", undoubtedly one of the best places on the island to taste this delicacy.
Happy day lovers of good food, I hope you had an incredible weekend. Today I want to share with you my impressions about one of the branches of my favorite place in the world to eat sushi, and it is Bonsai, and its place located in the Parque Costa Azul Shopping Center, Pampatar, Margarita Island, Venezuela.
Although it is not the most beautiful of the different branches we have on the island (my favorite is the Sambil), for me it is one of the most comfortable facilities, perhaps because of the structure of the premises and the layout of the tables, in addition to the large outdoor space that is part of the food fair located on the top floor of the mall, offering a nice view, and an incredible atmosphere.
When you arrive, the first thing you see is a beautiful facade with huge windows that show a good part of its interior, excellent lighting and a fairly large and clear space that leads directly to the counter where you can place your order, since this branch works as a fast food restaurant, meaning that your order is not taken at the table.
Actually, I don't find this annoying at all, precisely because of its large size, not only in the area that serves as a "distributor " to the different areas of the store, but also at the counter, which I really appreciate because I don't like crowds of people, much less in small spaces.
The decoration of the place is simply beautiful, starting with the different paintings and murals with images of colorful landscapes in contrast with some black walls with large bamboo branches in white, which create a very nice atmosphere.
On the other hand the fact of having these huge glass walls, not only allow you to enjoy the beautiful view of the outside space of the fair, but they create a feeling of spaciousness and seem to extend the size of the place, having the feeling of being outside, when in fact you are inside.
As for the service, like any fast food place you should have your order ready before standing at the cash register, unless you have many people in front of you, which will give you the opportunity to decide while your turn comes, and in our case as we only had one person in front of us we asked for the help of one of the girls behind the counter, who kindly guided us as to the promotions available for that day (Thursday).
And it was the "Hit" Promotion, which offers you 5 different options, between raw and tempura for only 5$ each. So we decided on two tempura and two raw to of course try a little bit of each.
The dishes didn't take long to arrive, as the place was relatively lonely, and that made me very happy, as I really don't like to wait. So 10 out of 10!
Each plate had 10 roles, and I must say that for a promotion they were very well presented, besides having a good size, and their flavor... simply incredible. They were absolutely delicious, and we were brought to the table in generous individual containers with soy sauce, which I loved, as we all like it very much and we had enough for the last roll.
I think the only negative thing I would have to say about this branch is that the restrooms were closed and we had to go downstairs and walk a long way to get to one of the restrooms in the mall, and return to the place, otherwise the experience at this branch was excellent, and improved a lot since the last time we went, a little over a year and a half ago.
So if you are on the island and are Sushi lovers, Bonsai Parque Costa Azul will be waiting for you.

Mi relación con el sushi fue amor a primera vista, y creo que buena parte de ese amor viene de mi primera experiencia con él, específicamente gracias a "Bonsai", sin lugar a dudas uno de los mejores lugares de la isla para degustar esta delicia.
Feliz día, amantes del buen comer, espero hayan tenido un fin de semana increíble. El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mis impresiones sobre una de las sucursales de mi lugar favorito en el mundo mundial para comer sushi, y se trata de "Bonsai", y su local ubicado en el Centro Comercial, Parque Costa Azul, en Pampatar, Isla Margarita Venezuela.
Si bien no es el más lindo de las distintas sucursales que tenemos en la isla (mi favorito es la del Sambil), para mí es una de las que cuenta con instalaciones más cómodas, quizá por la estructura del local y la disposición de las mesas, además del amplio espacio externo que viene siendo parte de la feria de comidas ubicada en la planta alta del centro comercial, ofreciendo una linda vista, y un ambiente increíble.
Al llegar, lo primero que ves es una hermosa fachada con enormes vidrieras que dejan a la vista buena parte de su interior, una excelente iluminación y un espacio bastante amplio y despejado que nos conduce directamente al mostrador donde podemos realizar nuestro pedido, ya que esta sucursal funciona tipo restaurante de comida rápida, es decir que tu pedido no es tomado en la mesa.
Esto, en realidad, no me resulta para nada molesto, precisamente por su gran tamaño, no solo del área que sirve de "distribuidor" a los diferentes espacios del local, sino del mostrador, cosa que agradezco muchísimo, pues no me gustan las aglomeraciones de personas y mucho menos en espacios pequeños.
La decoración del lugar es simplemente hermosa, comenzando por los diferentes cuadros y murales con imágenes de paisajes bastante coloridos en contraste con algunas paredes en negro con grandes ramas de bambú en color blanco, que crean un ambiente bastante agradable.
Por otro lado, el hecho de tener estas enormes paredes de vidrio, no solo te permiten disfrutar de la hermosa vista del espacio externo de la feria, sino que crean una sensación de amplitud y parecieran prolongar el tamaño del local, teniendo el sentimiento de estar fuera, cuando en realidad estás dentro.
En cuanto a la atención, como todo lugar de comida rápida debes tener listo tu pedido antes de pararte en la caja, a menos que tengas muchas personas por delante, lo que te dará la oportunidad de decidir mientras llega tu turno, y en nuestro caso como solo teníamos una persona por delante pedimos la ayuda de una de las chicas detrás del mostrador, quien amablemente nos orientó en cuanto a las promociones disponibles para ese día (jueves).
Y se trataba de la Promoción "Hit", que te ofrece 5 opciones diferentes, entre "crudas" y tempurizadas por 5$ cada una. Así que nos decidimos por dos tempurizadas y dos crudas para por supuesto probar un poco de cada cosa.
Los platos no demoraron mucho en llegar, ya que el local estaba relativamente solo, y eso me hizo muy feliz, pues la verdad no me gusta esperar. ¡Así que 10 de 10!
Cada plato contaba con 10 roles, y debo decir que para ser una promoción estaban muy bien presentados, además de tener un buen tamaño, y su sabor... pues simplemente increíble. Estaban absolutamente deliciosos, y nos llevaron a la mesa envases individuales bastante generosos con salsa de soya, cosa que me encantó, pues a todos nos gusta muchísimo y nos alcanzó hasta el último roll.
Creo que lo único negativo que tendría para decir de esta sucursal es que los baños con los que cuenta el local se encontraban cerrados y nos tocó bajar y caminar bastante hasta llegar a uno de los baños del centro comercial, y regresar nuevamente al lugar, del resto la experiencia en esta sucursal fue excelente, y mejoró muchísimo desde la última vez que fuimos, hace poco más de año y medio atrás.
Así que si están en la isla y son amantes del Sushi, Bonsai Parque Costa Azul los estará esperando.
