Yesterday was one of those days when the sky wanted to show off much of its beauty. A day in which it was dressed in so many different colors and aspects that it is incredible that all the shots were taken on the same day.
Hello friends, today I take a walk through this beautiful community because I decided to document a day in the sky and I think I could not have chosen a better day and you will see why!
We started the day with a radiant sun, a sky so blue that it invited you to contemplate it for hours and in fact it was at that moment that my idea of photographing it at different times of the day was born, without imagining how many facets it would show me.
I am blessed to enjoy this view every day from my window. A blue sky sometimes completely clear and sometimes with a few wispy clouds dotting it everywhere.
From my house I have two beautiful and completely different views. In the front I can see the mountains through which the sun sets every evening and towards the back I have a view that takes me directly to the sea.
Palm trees and a beautiful sky that I am sure only here has that particular beauty. Through them you can see the sun rise every morning. Those palm trees are a daily reminder of how close I am to the beach and that if I want to breathe its breeze I just have to get close to that window.
As the day wore on some gray clouds threatened to change our sunny day and although it never rained in the end I was treated to some new shots.
Maybe many don't like to see the sky tinged with gray, but I love it and after all, "the gray clouds are also part of the landscape" as a beautiful song says. Besides allowing us to be thankful for the sunny days.
So I set out to take some pictures from the two scenarios that my home gives me.
Towards the mountains the blue morning sky dotted with some white cloud flakes, was now almost entirely hidden behind thick gray clouds. The sun, refusing to be overshadowed by any small spot, was trying to sneak in its light.
At the other end of my house, the palm trees were protected from the inclement sun, typical of our Caribbean summer, by huge gray clouds that practically hid the sun.
In the afternoon the sky wanted to show us one of its great spectacles, one of the ones I enjoy the most, that arc of colors that crosses it from side to side, but this time it was really determined to show off, so it not only showed a rainbow, but two!
Can you imagine such a beauty? These shots are thanks to my husband who left home and on his way back found this marvel and could not do anything else but stop the car to take a picture of it.
And yes, as you can see the sea is very close to home and it was there where my husband took these beautiful pictures. Yesterday the sky definitely wanted to be the protagonist of the day.
Apparently he thought he hadn't given me enough great shots and in the evening as the sun went down it was dressed in beautiful colors. It had a really distinct glow, shades that he doesn't usually show or maybe I hadn't stopped to look at it just at that hour.
Once again I did the same thing I had been doing during the day and went from window to window to capture the sunset from my two landscapes. Watching the sun set behind the mountains gives the sky really beautiful hues, they go through red, orange and even gold. Yesterday it really looked like gold.
At nightfall I set out to select the photos I took during the day and I can only be grateful for so much beauty, so much grandeur and to be able to be part of it. Each photograph had its charm and something that made it completely beautiful.
Once in my bed I was looking at some statuses on WhatsApp and I could realize that the sky was really partying and not only caught my attention but that of many.
The vast majority of the statuses had different pictures of our sky, not only of the double rainbow but of the particular beauty of that sunset which was something completely majestic.
Here I share with you some of those pictures I asked my contacts to show you shots of the sky from different points of the island.
Kisses and blessings guys!
