It has been raining cats and dogs for the past 4 to 5 days, and hey, I'm not complaining. I like it when it's all cool and windy.
I'm having to get most of my work done at home. Our neighboring streets are all flooded, which is why I've decided to postpone a few tasks; even the necessary errands will have to wait. Fortunately, our area hasn't faced any power outages, not yet at least. However, most of Dhaka has faced some sort of electricity issue, especially yesterday.
A year full of ups and downs, hot and cold, and finally October is here. Winter is coming! And we're already 6 days in, today being the start of our weekend, in October. Yes, our weekend starts on Fridays. So, I'm getting as much rest as I can right now.
I slept for around 11 hours today haha. Next week is gonna be a busy one, and this is how I'm preparing.
When I look back on 2023, it feels like it's only been a few months, but we barely have 90 days remaining.
I often ask myself, what did I really do this year? Did I make proper progress? Have I made the "right" choices? There's always this self-doubt working on my mind, bugging me every now and then. Just when I'm away from work-related matters, trying to declutter, such dubious questions about my abilities, plans, and investments begin to pile up.
I don't know if I'm doing it right or not, and I don't know what the future holds. But, for now, all I have is my lengthy weekend sleep sessions, my hobbies, and a solid cup of coffee. Just a small list of things, that keep me at bay.
Around 2 months ago I got this jar of Davidoff's Crema Intense, I've been wanting to try it for quite a while now, but as the coffee granules are slowly devoured, I realize that this blend is a bit too light for me.
Don't get me wrong now, it's good coffee and tastes amazing. This blend when brewed properly, results in the creamiest homemade coffee I've had. However, it lacks the intensity, the vigor, that I'm so used to. It's a good option for those who like to mix things up every now and then, but not the best in terms of getting a "kick".
I'll try and get a different blend next time, something that surely is stronger. Maybe Nescafe Gold, that's what most of my friends prefer; it's also the undisputed instant coffee king in this region.

I usually have my coffee at around 8 PM, I say it's the perfect time for a cuppa; whether it be at a cafe or at home.
A small dose is what I prefer, I just can't guzzle down a whole mug of coffee for some reason. Half a cup of coffee is more than enough for me. I believe that a smaller amount, sipping and enjoying it slowly, as we take our time, is the best way to enjoy coffee around this time of the day.
Today is a prime example, I'd say. As I'm writing this post, it rains and pours out there, while I sip on some coffee here, in the comfort of my home.
A perfect weekend-coffee moment? I'd say so.
