Navigating the dark, collapsed library building, I used a crank to open a secret door, only for a mutant creature to attack and throw Kelvin downstairs. After fighting off infected bodies and defeating the weird sea-creature, I unlocked the restricted section and reached for the shaking ritual book.
It looked like a part of the floor above had collapsed to the ground floor, and I needed to use it to get upstairs since all the regular staircases were blocked.
Now that I was up on the upper floor, I needed to be extra careful because I knew the creature that had been stalking us all this time was around here somewhere, and I just didn't know where it was hiding. The whole place was pitch black, and some extra lighting would have been really helpful.
While looking around, I found a bed on the floor, suggesting someone must have been living here or maybe still did. Close by, I found a dead bod, likely the person who had been sleeping on that bed.
Continuing my search, I found a crank to rotate, and when I turned it, a secret door opened up for me.
Right after stepping through, the creature I had been tracking suddenly jumped on Kelvin and attacked him, sending him crashing down to the ground floor. Multiple infected bodies swarmed in right after.
I shot those bodies down first while the creature fled away somewhere else. Heading back up to the upper floor again, the creature reappeared, but this time I took it down surprisingly easily.
It looked like some kind of weird sea animal, and I finished it off with a stomping.
I could hear noises indicating more of those creatures around, or rather, just more infected bodies showing up. Both Kelvin and I were hoping those would be the last of them in this place.
Returning to the secret room, I found another crank to rotate, which opened up a new route. Finally, I reached the door of the restricted section where I was supposed to find the book I was looking for.
As I stepped inside and got close to the ritual book, the entire surrounding area began shaking, and something major started happening.
