Greetings Hivers.

Cars are sitting idle in garages across Cuba today. The fuel shortage has affected every part of daily life. Empty streets and people walking several kilometers to reach their destinations have become the new reality. Bicycles and electric vehicles, especially those that can be charged with solar panels, are now the most common means of transportation.

Seeing a light bulb turned on has become almost an anachronism, and only a few businesses can still afford to keep their lights on.

These hardships have become so deeply rooted that they are now reflected in street photography itself. It will be interesting to see how the urban landscape continues to change, whether for better or for worse.

Saludos hivers.
