Monomad challenge / Girón building

Greetings to the members of the #blackandwhite community. I am currently on vacation and taking the opportunity to visit some magical spots in my city. I had long wanted to photograph the Girón building, located in the Vedado neighborhood of Havana. Built in the 1960s on the Malecón—just a stone's throw from the coast—this structure rises over ten stories high. It is a prime example of Brutalist architecture and stands as a landmark in Cuba thanks to its distinctive features. Currently, however, it is in a state of significant disrepair due to the damaging effects of salt air and a lack of maintenance. As you can see in the photos, beautiful patterns of light and shadow form within the building; its corridors look like something out of a science fiction movie. Saludos a los miembros de la comunidad #blackandwhite. En estos días estoy de vacaciones y estoy aprovechando para visitar algunos lugares mágicos de mi ciudad. Hacía tiempo que quería tomar fotografías del edificio Girón, ubicado en el Vedado, La Habana. Este inmueble fue construido en la década del 60 del siglo pasado, en la avenida Malecón, a escasos metros del litoral. Tiene más de 10 pisos de altura. Su estilo constructivo es el brutalismo y constituye uno de los referentes en Cuba por sus detalles característicos. En la actualidad se encuentra muy deteriorado por los efectos nocivos del salitre y la falta de mantenimiento. Observen en las fotos que bellas luces y sombras se forman en su interior, tiene pasillos que parecen imágenes de ciencia ficción. Siempre es un placer compartir con ustedes estas experiencias.
