I had a bit of spare time this morning to experiment with voice to text, I'm so used to tyhping but I've long felt that voicing thoughts would be quicker than typing, although this is a massive habit shift as my thought process is so massively tied up with typing.
I don't know how it influences the result - making the intellectual effort to type rather than voice ideas...they are different processes...
Anyway, I put some ideas down through voice too....
I am experimenting with voice to text. I am thinking that it might be quicker than typing. Westfield's very different to typing. This feels very different to typing. It's actually quite hard to see more about this. It's kind of strange listening to myself speak for stop. I am wondering whether my ideas might flow more fluidly if I'm speaking rather than typing. Although I do default to speaking in this rather robotic manner. Also I haven't figured out what the voice command is for a new line. Intuitively my thoughts should be freer if I'm just sitting here speaking rather than having the keyboard which may be assort of crunch. Crutch. Also above where it says hard to see more that should be hard to say more. I think trying to do this experiment using the topic of talking rather than typing as the topic is not the best topic for the experiment. I need to think of another topic with more substance to really try this out. Thinking. I might go and have a shower and think up the topic while I'm washing the skank from the parkrun off my body. Smell your later smell you later. I'm actually quite impressed with this voice to text I mean I haven't trained it. I am now thinking that mind mapping or remembering that mind mapping is an extremely efficient way of writing so if I could have text and one map that'll be great which would mean I mean for ease and Efficiency probably just bullet points. Put a point one. Bullet point one no the only character this seems to recognize is the. But what if I actually want to type. Full full stop. Full stop. Full you fall you stupid fool fall cat cut babies cot cot cat cut cot. Full full full song fall fall I'm trying to say f double o l full four you stupid fall you stupid fall he's a crazy fall foolish stupid voice to text. Smell your later smell you later. This is going to be a quality post Deco gonna hit trending Defoe gunner gunner going to hit trending.
ERRMM..?
Next step is to look up how to space!
Also I was playing with similar sounds there - cat, cot, cut, did oK.
And full fall fool - it just couldn't get the later!
It amazes me how attuned our ears are - I mean a young child doesn't have any problems hearing or articulating the differences above, i mean they may have to think a bit, but it's not a difficult thing for them to learn very small tonal differences....
Fascinating.
This is on the back of the fact that I don't think I use my voice nearly enough!
