On Christmas morning, I made some hotdogs for breakfast. My Mom, on the other hand, made a food creation I had never heard of nor could name. I can only explain it by saying it involved Eggs, sausage, and strawberry oatmeal.

We were talking when she placed her bowl on the counter and I only noticed this food combination by its striking pink, yellow and red colors, a majority of the colors being dim except for the bright pink oatmeal.

Everyone was sure this thing was gonna be nasty, and it was so out of the ordinary I decided to take a photo. “It’s different!” was all I said.

Mom smiled at this. “You wanna try some?”

I didn’t even have time to answer. “Yes,” My father answered for me, knowing I am a foodie at heart.

And so I didn’t hesitate when she grabbed a spoon and asked me to try some.

The taste wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t appealing either. The food had a smooth and bumpy texture. The sweetness of the strawberries didn’t go with the saltiness of sausage. Instead of being a blend of flavors, the food was more like if I stuffed two random foods in my mouth.

All I’ve got to say is that this food is a 3 out of 5. ‘Ain't something disgusting, but it isn’t world-class deliciousness though. (My Mom personally thought it was delicious.)

As for what I would call this… creation, I would go with strawsage and eggs, but if you’ve got a name for it in the comments, by all means, let’s hear it.

ESPAÑOL

Esta mañana, preparé unos perritos calientes para el desayuno. No es el desayuno más genérico, pero delicioso y bastante expeditivo si me preguntas. Mi madre, por otro lado, hizo una creación de alimentos de la que nunca había oído hablar ni podía nombrar. Solo puedo explicarlo diciendo que involucró huevos, salchichas y avena con fresas.

Estábamos hablando cuando colocó su tazón en el mostrador y solo noté esta combinación de alimentos por sus llamativos colores rosa, amarillo y rojo, la mayoría de los colores son tenues, excepto la avena rosa brillante.

Todo el mundo estaba seguro de que esto iba a ser desagradable, y estaba tan fuera de lo común que decidí tomar una foto. "¡Es diferente!" fue todo lo que dije.

Mamá sonrió ante esto. "¿Quieres probar algo?”

Ni siquiera tuve tiempo de responder. "Sí", Mi padre respondió por mí, sabiendo que soy un entusiasta de corazón.

Así que no dudé cuando agarró una cuchara y me pidió que probara un poco.

El sabor no era horrible, pero tampoco era atractivo. La comida tenía una textura suave y con baches. La dulzura de las fresas no iba con la salinidad de la salchicha. En lugar de ser una mezcla de sabores, la comida era más como si me metiera dos alimentos al azar en la boca.

Todo lo que tengo que decir es que este alimento es un 3 de 5. No es algo repugnante, pero no es una delicia de clase mundial. (Mi mamá personalmente pensó que estaba delicioso.)

En cuanto a lo que llamaría a esto creation creación, iría con pajitas y huevos, pero si tienes un nombre para ello en los comentarios, por supuesto, escuchémoslo.
