In the first prompt, I noted that the two colours that stand out most for me are blue and green. I chose green because it reflects life. Any green leaf means that the leaf is fresh and full of life. For the colour blue, I love it because it is just beautiful in my eyes. Also, Mother Mary's colour is blue. Being her devotee, I love the colour. Then, brides who use the colour make it look even more appealing to my eyes.

Initially, while growing up, my favourite colours were not always green and blue. As a child, I would say my best colour was pink. The reason I chose pink was because of this TV series then, Barbie. Barbie's colour was pink, and being a die-hard fan of that cartoon, I immediately fell in love with pink. I wanted to be like Barbie.

But as I grew older, the TV series started looking uninteresting. The colour, fantasy, and imaginations began to fade as well. I still love the pink colour. Pink is girlish and pretty. But for a favourite colour, I won't choose pink because, to me, pink is not mature enough.

My love for green started when I started understanding life. When I no longer just went with anything. When I began being able to connect the dots and read meaning into emotions. I still love pink, and I don't think I will ever completely stop loving it because it reminds me of a part of my childhood that was filled with imagination and fantasy. It also makes one feel very feminine and girly. But as I have grown older, I have realised that what I look for in colours has changed. If I have a big occasion I want to grace, I won't consider pink. I find myself drawn more to colours that carry deeper meanings for me or colours that fit what is being celebrated.
