Josh Has 2,992 Days Clean & Sober.

My buddy Brad who helps me with the Recovery Inc Instagram has his own page sober motivation. Brad did an amazing feature on Josh who is about to have 3,000 days Clean and Sober. I just love what Josh had to say about his new idea of resilience and i wanted to share what he had to say with you guys.

I got sober on May 14th 2012.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Back then I believed that resilience was the ability to keep going no matter what, to avoid any struggle and show up. That idea drove me to a place where I felt the best thing to do for my children was to take my own life. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Today I have a new idea of resilience. One that is fluid, that allows me to struggle and ask for help. One that allows me to keep my head up and shoulders back in spite of my internal struggles. One that embraces vulnerability and keeps me reachable. One that helps me to understand what I feel, know what I need as a result, and be able to communicate that within my activities and relationships. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Rather than driving me to suicide, this idea of resilience has helped to deliver emotional resilience training to village primary schools and global brands alike. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣
