Photography as a Small Rescue

Some days feel slower than the usual days. I’m not sure if it’s because of the weather, the mood, or maybe because there are moments when the day feels too quiet. During those times, one thing that helps rescue me from boredom is photography.

I guess we all need a hobby that can lift us up when the day feels heavy or empty. For me, it is going for a walk and bringing my phone with me so I can take photos of anything that catches my attention. Most of the time, my subjects are from nature because the garden always has something interesting to offer.

For today’s photos, I focused again on flowers, leaves, and the small details that I noticed along the way. Some flowers are still blooming beautifully, while others are starting to fade. The leaves also have their own character, especially when the light touches them in a certain way. In black and white, these simple details become more dramatic. The texture, contrast, and shadows make everything look more artistic.

Photography gives me a sense of achievement, even when I only take a few photos. It reminds me that creativity does not always need to be grand. Sometimes, it is just about noticing what is already around us and finding joy in capturing it.

That is why I would also advise everyone to have a hobby that gives them joy. It does not have to be expensive or complicated. It only needs to make you feel alive, calm, and fulfilled in your own way.

For me, this simple walk and these photos are already enough to make the day feel better.

Have a good day ahead!
