馃 The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)
馃摎 Aegithalos (Greek): tit
caudatus (lat.): tailed
This very cute and neat creature weighs only 8-10 grams and measures 15cm thanks to its long tail. Although this bird genetically does not belong to the species of tits, however, with its habits it very much resembles them.
It always keeps in small flocks. These flocks have a strict hierarchy. And only during the mating season and nesting, the birds break up into pairs. The male and female together build a nest from a variety of soft materials.
