The western yellow wagtail (Motacilla flava)
Around mid-May, you can already see these colorful birds.
They are not shy, especially when they are busy searching for food, you can carefully approach them closer. There are a lot of them living on the shores and meadows, but I occasionally meet one bird in a mixed forest, which is rather strange.
The grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea)
And this kind of wagtail, in principle, should not live with us. In Russian-speaking countries, it is called "mountainous", which implies its habitat. We don’t have mountains, but I always meet one bird every year in a ravine near the flowing spring.
