🦉 The willow tit (Poecile montanus)
📚 Poecile poikilis (Greek) an unidentified small bird mentioned in ancient texts
📚 montanus (lat .) : mōns, montis mountain, mountain range, montanus mountain
Nimble restless tit. It is one of the many birds in the forests. And meets all year round at any time. In the spring you can hear their melancholic whistling songs. But their calls are characterized by wheezing buzzing sounds.
They are not afraid of people. Especially in crowded parks where there are feeders. In such places, the birds are literally tame, and they themselves beg for treats from passers-by.
I noticed such a feature in their coloring. In summer they molt and their underparts are completely grey. And from autumn to spring, the bottom theme is slightly brown.
