🦉 The Eurasian golden oriole (Oriolus oriolus)
📚 Oriolus oryolus (lat.) oriole [Old French. oryol oriole, aureolus gold]
Beautiful and beautiful bird. Despite her very bright and rich coloration, it is very difficult to see her in the midst of the monochromatic green color of the forest. This bird is incredibly cautious and cowardly.
She arrives quite late, around mid-May. It's not hard to hear, it's hard to see. The song of the oriole is similar to the sound of a flute, and the call is similar to the sharp meow of a cat. For which this bird received the comic names "forest flute" or "forest cat".
She feeds on insects, and one of her nutritional features is that only she and the cuckoo eat hairy caterpillars that other birds do not touch.
