🦉 The Siberian stonechat or Asian stonechat (Saxicola maurus)

📚 Saxicola (lat ): saxum rock, stone, -cola inhabitant
📚 maurus (lat.): Moorish, black

These birds live in open spaces such as meadows and fields. And sometimes they can even be found on small edges of forests.
I come across a large number of these birds in the meadows near the city. There they appear in early May. And it so happens that I walk along the path, and I see how these birds sit on the top of tall grass or thickets and watch everything around.

At that time, the males act as a guard, and inform the female of the dangers. And the female at that time is building a nest, collecting various materials from the area. The nest is built in a hidden place under the thickets, and the material is various dry blades of grass and stems, tufts of wool and fluff.
