This unusual corvid lives mainly in coniferous forests. And sometimes in winter she can appear near villages and human dwellings. My friend, who lives in the village, even tamed this bird, and quite successfully. Nutcracker took a cedar cone from her hands.

I met this bird from the photo far outside the city, in a coniferous forest. She walked on a soft forest floor consisting of grass, pine needles and moss.
She was looking for something there, and I think that she was looking for seeds or nuts that had fallen from trees.
