Wild shy squirrel 🐿️

I already wrote once that squirrels are gradually migrating southward inside the forest. And just recently they reached the old cemetery, covering about 7 km in 8 years.

Squirrels are not travelers, and do not stray far from their usual habitats, which is why they move so slowly when choosing new places.

Of course, we are talking about truly wild squirrels, living exclusively in wild conditions, not accustomed to people. I met this squirrel in the photo in an old cemetery. She ran through the graves, examined the tables and the area around in search of food. There is a long-standing tradition of leaving something edible when visiting graves. And birds and rodents take advantage of this.
