The red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris)
In the forest that I love and where I most often go, squirrels are very rare. For 14 years, I counted only 4 squirrels. They are real wild squirrels, not accustomed to people.
And then one autumn I was walking through the forest and saw movement in the trees. It was this furry beauty from the photo. She climbed up the tree. And after a while she got off him, ran along a fallen tree and disappeared behind him.
After a while, she jumped up a tree, and I saw moss in her mouth. She ran over a fallen tree and climbed another. It became clear to me that she collects moss to warm her home.
The dwelling of the squirrel is called "gaino". What does it mean "to cover", "wrap up".
