Spring comes and wild animals begin to exchange their winter fur for summer. These photos show wild forest squirrels that I met in an old cemetery near the forest. They just recently appeared, one might say they migrated from a distant forest, and made this journey in 16 years.
They feel good in the cemetery, in addition to the forest food they can find (plant seeds, buds, berries), they eat cookies or something similar. We have a tradition that when visiting graves, we leave something edible on them.
As you can see, they don’t look very nice at this time. They are tattered, the fur is in tatters, and there are no cute tufts on the ears.
