The mallard or wild duck (Anas platyrhynchos)

I always meet these ducks very far from the city, on a lake in a coniferous forest. There they often stop to rest when they fly away for the winter.

The common merganser (North American) or goosander (Eurasian) (Mergus merganser)

One day, walking along the river, I saw a whole family of these ducks. They rested in the sun on rocks in the middle of the river.

The northern shoveler (Spatula clypeata)

Another duck that looks like a mallard. But the differences are visible on the head. She has a wide beak.
