The lesser spotted woodpecker (Dryobates minor)

This miniature woodpecker is about the size of a sparrow. Due to his size, he is very fast and agile. Unfortunately, unlike his larger counterparts, he does not peck the bark of trees, but prefers to examine the branches for the presence of insects. However, sometimes this woodpecker can peck at the bark of a tree if the tree is dry and rotten, so that the bark can easily be separated from the trunk.
His voice is clearer and similar to the voice of birds of prey, such as the kestrel. And the behavior itself when making a sound is more like other birds than woodpeckers. Emitting a cry, he listens carefully, and looks around. Brown spots are present on the face of this woodpecker, which is not the case with other species of woodpeckers.
