To my regret, I noticed that the number of these funny animals has become smaller in the forest where I like to go. I began to meet them less and less, and it’s not because of their secrecy. Most likely, I attribute this to the appearance of a large number of birds of prey. Three years ago, several species of birds of prey, which had not been here before, began to live in the forest on a permanent basis.

Currently, the chipmunks are actively working to stock up on food for the winter. And the extent to which they manage to do this depends on whether they will survive the next winter.
