馃 The black kite (Milvus migrans)
- Milvus (lat) - kite
- migrans (lat.) - migrating
Despite the fact that this lazy predator prefers to feed on carrion and scraps of food from garbage cans, it is still able to catch live prey. On the river that flows along the city, kites catch fish. You can see the result in the first photo.
But still, their favorite delicacy is pigeons crushed by cars in the courtyards of houses.
Despite their menacing predatory appearance, they are completely defenseless and are constantly being chased even by small birds. But corvids such as crows and magpies hate them with a fierce hatred.
