🦉 The white-backed woodpecker (Dendrocopos leucotos)

This woodpecker is a rare guest in city parks, unlike its fellow, the Great Spotted Woodpecker. And you won't notice it right away in the forest, its back is really whitish (hence the name), as well as pink undertail and small variegated stripes at the bottom of the body. For some reason, this species loves not living trees, but rotten ones.

Actually, these birds love damp alder forests and windfalls - where the trunks are already undermined by fungi, and it is easier to work. They do not knock as sharply as their fellows, but rather dully and measuredly, because, as I said earlier, they are used to pecking loose bark.
