This small bird is a real acrobat of the forest. Unlike woodpeckers or treecreepers, the nuthatch fearlessly darts upside down along tree trunks, as if breaking all the laws of gravity. They are not afraid of people: they easily fly to the feeders, grab the seeds and quickly carry them away for storage, stuffing them into the cracks in the bark. By the way, about supplies - these feathered champions in creating "storerooms", hiding seeds and beetles in the cracks of trees.

Nuthatches nest in an unusual way: they occupy old woodpecker hollows, but they always "repair" the entrance - they reduce the hole, covering it with clay to the required size. This is so that no one can climb into its home.
