The habitats of these birds are open or semi-open. For example, meadows, which are located on the very outskirts of my city, or forests with edges and lawns, but they do not fly deep into the forests, they live exclusively in open spaces.
In these places they sit on the tops of tall thickets and plants. The nest is built by the female, and it is located on the ground under the overhanging grass, and it is well hidden. The male is always on guard at this time, he watches the territory and notifies the female of danger with the sounds "chak-chak", which are similar to the knocking of small stones. It is for this sound that the birds are called so.
