🦉 The common chaffinch or simply the chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)

These guys are one of the first to arrive from wintering grounds. As soon as spring arrives, the days will become warmer, but the weather is still unstable and there is a lot of snow. And this does not prevent the males from arriving first. look for territory for yourself and the female and protect it.

The males sing actively and even sometimes fight with each other, or even with other species of birds. When the females arrive, and this is after about 7-10 days, they look for each other and then build a nest.
The flight back happens unnoticed. So I can't say when this happens. However, there were cases when I met these birds at the end of September, and even at the beginning of November.
