🦉 Baraba Steppe Gull (Larus barabensis)

This type of gull lives in the steppe zone, as you might guess from the name, but this is not entirely true. Yes, I met them in the steppe, in small quantities. However, a large number of them live in the nearby city. This always surprises me, because in my city gulls exclusively live near the river.
And these birds just walk along the streets of the city, rummaging through trash cans, fighting with pigeons and robbing them. It would seem that seagulls are wild river birds, but they spend the whole day in the city. However, apparently they prefer to nest far outside the city, in the steppe zone, and for them the city is a place where they can find food.
