🦉 The great tit (Parus major)

I love watching flocks of birds in the forest in autumn and winter. They do not appear in a continuous stream, but as if periodically, replacing each other. And I like how every bird is busy with something. One bird inspects the trees, another jumps on dry leaves, turning them over, and so on. And this tit from photos 1 and 2 discovered someone else’s cache of seeds in a broken tree. Most likely it was a nuthatch stash.

And such stashes save many birds from hunger. Not all birds store supplies, but they inspect broken trees, crevices in the bark, under moss, under leaves, and find supplies.
