🦉 The common redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus)

We call this bird a “burning tail”. And this is logical, when a bird is alarmed, it twitches its bright rufous tail, and it looks like a flame.
They arrive at the end of April or beginning of May, depending on the weather. The main thing is that by this moment there are already insects on which they feed. Males actively sing songs and hide in trees. During this period, taking a photo is not so easy.

But in the summer, when these birds already have offspring, the males very bravely, sacrificing themselves, protect their nests and children. They divert the enemy's attention to themselves, thereby leading them further away. And around August, flights to warm countries begin.
