馃 The Eurasian bullfinch, common bullfinch or bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula)
- Pyrrhula (Greek): pyrrhos - red
This wonderful plump bird is the personification of winter. Therefore, she is depicted in various pictures, postcards and advertisements regarding the winter period and holidays.
This handsome gentleman was sitting on a berry bush (viburnum?) in an old cemetery. Usually they fly away as soon as they see me approaching them, but this bird was so busy eating that it didn鈥檛 pay much attention to me.
Now, when the sun is noticeably warmer and brighter, spring is approaching, you can hear the barely noticeable spring songs of bullfinches. They sing every day sitting near the trees in the yard. And by the beginning of next month, having already found a mate, they will fly away through the forests.
